OPUS NETWORX began as a Bulletin Board System in 1990 running
Galacticomm's MajorBBS on 2 phone lines. Over time we added phone
lines and eventually supported 36 dialup phone lines. The BBS was
used for secure email via the MajorBBS network and provided a
gateway to other mail servers via the Internet. With the growth in
dedicated ISPs in Trinidad & Tobago OPUS was able to return to it's
roots and provide secure and spam-free mail hosting as a primary
focus.
From the beginning OPUS NETWORX provided McAfee Associates VirusScan
software which was then marketed as shareware. As email became more
mission critical we added the Vircom Modus line of mail blockades
and now provide mail hosting, filtering, and blockade servers.
